Will the part be on the van?

Spark electrodes, igniters, valve stems, door switches, latch assemblies, condenser fans, inlet valves and drain pumps travel with us. Boards, elements and sealed-system parts are ordered against the model and serial on the rating plate.

Does a built-in have to come out of the cabinetry?

Often, yes — a column refrigerator is serviced from the base and the back, and a panel-front dishwasher has to clear its opening. It comes out on protection and goes back with the panel gaps as they were.

Range Repair

A cracked spark electrode, or a wet porcelain burner box after a boil-over shorting the spark to ground.
Flame burns orange and lifts away from the cap
Blocked burner ports or a cap sitting crooked on its head — grit and cooking oil, not a gas supply fault.
Knobs turned stiff enough to need two hands
Dried grease in the valve stems. They come apart, clean, regrease and go back — no new valves needed most of the time.
Griddle or broiler heats unevenly, or not at all
An element leg broken open, or a scorched connector at the terminal block behind the plate.

Refrigerator Repair

Fresh food side drifting warm while the freezer section stays solid
An evaporator fan, a blocked air duct or a defrost fault on the fresh food side — rarely the compressor.

A condenser furred with dust and a condenser fan that has slowed, which valley heat then turns into a machine that never catches up.
Water collecting beneath the produce drawers
A blocked or out-of-level drain trough sending defrost water into the cabinet instead of down the tube.
A sagging door that no longer pulls itself closed
A dropped hinge and a tired gasket. Shim the hinge, reset the height, replace the seal.

Oven Repair

Cavity running well below the temperature on the dial
A drifted temperature probe or a weak igniter no longer holding the gas valve open long enough.
Preheat chime sounding long before the oven is ready
The probe reading high while the cavity is still cold — the control believes it and chimes early.
Grinding or rattling from the convection fan
A dry convection fan bearing. Caught early it is one motor; left alone it takes the blade and the housing with it.
Door locked shut after a self-clean cycle
A latch motor or door lock switch that stalled at temperature. It comes apart from the top or the door face.

Dishwasher Repair

Water left standing in the tub when the cycle ends
A blocked drain loop, a packed sump or debris in the drain pump — very often not a pump replacement.
Top rack coming out gritty while the bottom is clean
A cracked diverter or a blocked upper spray feed sending water the wrong way.
Seepage along the bottom of the door
A flattened door seal or a leak at the sump gasket that only shows under full fill.
Machine dead on the panel, or stopping partway through
A door latch switch that never sees the door as closed, or a thermistor stalling the cycle mid-programme.
